Jeffrey Zeldman posted a teaser in his daily report announcing another web design survey by A List Apart.

33,000 web developers took part in the first annual survey done in 2007 and I can only assume that this one will reach the new heights. Web-standards community is growing and actions like this help this growth too. If you are a web developer, wait for 29th of July, take part and spread the word.

Web standards in Malta are still taking baby steps. Some popular websites do get elements that are in the current trends in web-standards aware community on the net, but you will rarely find one having valid (X)HTML and CSS. The state of web standards on Maltese web design scene deserves much more attention and analysis than can fit in this post and I will leave it for some other time. Stay tuned.
